About Theoretically Impossible Solutions

We don't shy away from the difficult. We specialize in it.

Theoretically Impossible Solutions LLC was founded by Kevin Phifer with a simple premise: the problems that everyone says can't be solved are usually just the ones nobody has committed to solving yet.

The name itself comes from a line in a film that stuck with Kevin early in his career. A researcher, asked what he'd been working on, describes an absurdly difficult task. "That's impossible," the interviewer says. "I know," the researcher replies. "I proved it." Something about that exchange — the dry humor, the quiet stubbornness, the refusal to stop just because something was supposed to be impossible — became a kind of operating philosophy.

For years, Kevin called what he did "the Institute for the Theoretically Impossible." It wasn't a real organization — it was a mindset. A way of describing the work of reverse-engineering undocumented features, pushing past "known limitations," and solving problems that weren't supposed to have solutions. When it came time to formalize that into a company, the name was already waiting.

What We Believe

Our philosophy lives somewhere between two quotes. The Seabees said it best: "With willing hearts and skillful hands, the difficult we do at once; the impossible takes a bit longer." That's the discipline — the steady, skilled, methodical approach to hard problems. But there's another side to it. When Snowman told the Bandit something had never been done, the Bandit's reply was simple: "You gotta quit being so negative, son. Of course we can make it. We ain't never not made it before." That's the instinct — the refusal to accept the premise that something can't be done. Both of those live in the DNA of this company.

We believe the agentic AI revolution is the most significant shift in software development since the internet. Not because of the hype, but because of what we've seen it do in practice. We've watched month-long projects collapse into weeks. We've seen development frameworks evolve through three iterations in the time it used to take to finish one. We've lived the transformation firsthand.

We also believe that this transformation needs guides — people who've done the work, hit the walls, and figured out how to get through them. That's what Theoretically Impossible Solutions is here to provide: real expertise born from real experience, not theoretical knowledge from the sidelines.

What We Specialize In

The Journey

Kevin's path into agentic AI development has been a rapid, intensive journey — one he's documenting in real time through this site's blog and upcoming video content. The goal isn't just to build great software for clients, but to share what he's learning along the way: the frameworks, the failures, the breakthroughs, and the hard-won insights that come from working at the edge of what's possible.

Whether you're a business leader trying to understand what agentic AI means for your organization, a developer looking to transform your workflow, or someone who's just curious about where all of this is headed — you're in the right place.
